On 15 May 2025, Tecniplast China proudly celebrated a significant milestone with the grand opening of its Manufacturing Centre, strategically situated within the German Industrial Park in Kunshan.
The ceremony was honoured by the presence of Mr Rocco Carlo Genchi, Deputy Consul General of the Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai; Mr Pietro Bernardini, Global CEO of Tecniplast Group; Mr Wei Ran, Country Manager of Tecniplast China; Mr Emilio Cassanelli, Board Member of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce; Mr Huang Yu, General Manager of Intesa Sanpaolo Bank’s Shanghai Branch; Mr Wang Chao, Secretary of the Party Committee of Zhangpu Town; Mr Zuo Baochang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Mayor of Zhangpu Town; alongside other local dignitaries.
Their attendance marked the commencement of a new chapter in Tecniplast Group’s journey in China, reflecting the Group’s steadfast commitment and bold ambition to further deepen its strategic presence in the Chinese market.

3.0 Rooted in China - A Strategic Pillar of the Global Manufacturing Network
Following the opening ceremony, guests were guided by Mr. Andrea Comai, Global Production Director of Tecniplast Group, on an in-depth tour of the core production areas within the China Manufacturing Centre.
The newly commissioned facility operates in full compliance with the Group’s global standards, focusing on the research, development, production, and assembly of Individually Ventilated Cage (IVC) systems. It also manages the local assembly of washing and sterilisation equipment. Through meticulous process design, stringent quality control, and advanced automation, Tecniplast is poised to further enhance its responsiveness to both the Chinese and wider Asia-Pacific markets.
Currently, the Group commands approximately 50% of the market share in China. The launch of this centre will significantly strengthen Tecniplast China’s manufacturing resilience and service capabilities, cementing our enduring commitment to “Global Expertise, Local Service.”
