Seasonal Best Wishes from the Team at Tecniplast UK

"As another year comes to a close and we look forward to 2023, I wanted to take some time to wish you all a joyous holiday season and the very best for the New Year. I would also like to take this opportunity to reflect on the business and our continuing relationship with you, our customers, clients, and in many cases, our friends.

I joined Tecniplast three years ago, prior to which I had worked in cancer diagnostics for 15 years. What has significantly struck me in my three-year tenure is the closeness of our relationship with our customers.

From symposiums to exhibitions to general meetings, the overarching assurance is that our relationships are strong; this becomes more apparent when we socialise at events. It has been refreshing to see how well everyone gets on with each other. I have realised that I am in an industry unlike any other and have felt incredibly welcome over the last three years - long may that continue.

I recognise that most of those relationships have been built on many years of trust, humility, credibility, and respect. For any relationship to prosper, Tecniplast understands that those are the four pillars that should always be at the forefront of everything we do. For those that work with Tecniplast on a regular basis, I believe that you see and experience those virtues.

It is important for us to continue strong relationships built on these fundamental values. It is gratifying as a business, in such a small industry, that we continuously maintain solid relationships with past and previous customers who have all experienced the ‘Tecniplast Way’.

As I mentioned above, credibility is of the utmost importance to us, especially in such a niche industry. It is vitally important that you can rely on and have trust in credible partners and suppliers. A large part of our credibility, and what we are immensely proud of, is the end user empathy within our business; we have been fortunate enough to bring in Animal Technicians and other similar experience to Tecniplast UK to ensure that we are the perfect partner from start to finish.

You can be assured, that as the industry leader, we have leverage and pulleys to mitigate against many of the headwinds we face. We have experienced another year of uncertainty with our supply chain. The war in Ukraine and continued political uncertainty in China add to an already challenging landscape post Covid and post Brexit. Although Tecniplast UK are no longer in the EU, having our head office in Italy still has significant advantages to you, our customers and us as a distributor. We won’t get it perfect every time, but that will not stop us trying and striving to meet and exceed your expectations.

Some of you may deal with Tecniplast on a regular basis, but I wanted to share below some facts and figures of where we are now and where we are heading:

• In the UK we are a business of 60 people.

• Over half of our business is made up of service engineers, helpdesk, and service customer care.

• We have a fully dedicated Technical department of six people to manage complex installations and projects with a combined experience of over 50 years at Tecniplast.

• Our commercial team consists of Account Managers, Product Managers, Marketing, and customer care personnel. We also have our own dedicated Pharma Solutions department.

• Throughout 2023, we will be investing in additional people and skills.

• Keep an eye out for new and exciting innovations in 2023 ;)

As we look forward to some down time over the seasonal period, the Tecniplast Team and I wish you an enjoyable break and a renewal of our commitment to go above and beyond in 2023.

The Tecniplast mission statement of ‘The pursuit of excellence is at the heart of Tecniplast. It is fundamental to the way we seek to innovate, build relationships, and provide the very best products and services to our clients’ remains as concrete now as it ever has."

Best seasonal wishes to you and yours,

Andy Humes, Managing Director, Tecniplast UK
