TECNIPLAST OBTAINED FROM DNV ITALIA S.P.A. AN INDEPENDENT ASSURANCE STATEMENT OF ITS ENVIRONMENTAL REPORT ACCORDING TO ISO 14016

DNV Italia S.p.A. is a global organization specializing in independent assurance, inspection and certification activities. The Independent Assurance Statement has been issued to Tecniplast’s Environmental Report for multiple years, including 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020

The Report demonstrates how Tecniplast is 100% sustainable, this is helped by a combination of huge investments and a state-of-the-art production system which is designed for sustainability – which makes Tecniplast a pioneering world leader in the LAS industry when it comes to environmental sustainability.

Leopoldo Zauner, Corporate Marketing & Communication Director, explains:

We can say with certainty that our Company assists in making a greener world and cares for the reduction of environmental and climatic impacts. For us, environmental, social, and economic sustainability do not only concern the product, but also involve the production processes. Indeed, we are 14001 certified (Environmental Management System certification) for Product Design, Manufacturing and Service; in addition to this, we have conceived a new production process (WCM – World Class Manufacturing) that allows us to annually reduce the amount of used resources whilst increasing our usage of renewable energy”.

Reading the Report, readers can easily see how the product itself is the second fundamental asset that makes Tecniplast a leader in environmental sustainability.

We have put in place an exclusive project for old plastic cage recycling: a real success over the last 10 years, resulting in more than 155 tons of plastic having been recycled in that time. The result of this is a 100% circular economy: together with the eco-design process, according to ISO 14006 regulation, it demonstrates that no matter the size of our business, there are steps we can take to actively reduce our carbon dioxide emissions and help fighting climate change.

The Report also underlines how research and innovation represent the soul of the Tecniplast Company itself, making us a strategic partner of our customers as we consider them through the entire product conception – from concept, design development and production, carefully following each phase by evaluating materials and specifications that allow products to be fully recyclable at the end of their lives. Our customers are ready to welcome sustainable products and, as manufacturers, we are ready to fulfil their need for eco-sustainable solutions.
