Tecniplast has successfully completed an assessment of its Management System in accordance with ISO 14006:2020 guidelines, reinforcing its structured commitment to integrating environmental considerations into product design and development.
The Assessment Declaration, issued by IMQ S.p.A., confirms that Tecniplast’s processes comply with the requirements of ISO 14006:2020 for eco-design management.
The scope of the assessment covers the design, manufacturing, and support of laboratory animal housing equipment, including mechanical processing, thermoplastic molding, laser cutting, bending, TIG welding of steel components, and assembly. It also includes the design and construction of steel molds for thermoplastic materials, as well as molding, assembly, and packaging of plastic products for third parties.
By applying ISO 14006:2020 guidelines, Tecniplast systematically incorporates environmental aspects into its design and development activities, evaluating impacts across the entire product life cycle — from material selection and production processes to use and end-of-life management.
This structured approach enables the company to continuously improve environmental performance while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and functionality.
