Are you at Aalas and you would like to know more about how thermoregulation can effect energy expenditure for rodents?

An interesting seminar will discuss on how Thermoregulation is one of the greatest energy expenditures for rodents and the effects of these energy expenditures on study outcomes.

The seminar will discuss the background of Thermoregulation and recently explored effects on study outcomes, specifically in the areas of immunology and oncology, including why this issue is critical to the translation of preclinical findings to the clinic.

Presenters will discuss the monitoring of the microenvironment to assure the housing design specifications are still appropriate in relationship to the operating environment.

The Seminar will discuss about newer designs who allow zones of thermal gradients in housing units, their acceptance and use by the animals and potential for more accurate study outcomes,  how they could improve experimental outcomes and how future guidelines should take them in consideration.

  • Title: Rodent Thermoregulations at the Housing Level, Why Does it Matter?
  • Date/Time: Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 8:00 AM
  • Place: Ballroom D
