Tecniplast SpA and IWT srl announce that Scanbur, exclusive dealer in the Nordic region, has signed a contract that commits Scanbur and Tecniplast/IWT to deliver equipment for a new biomedical research facility at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden. The contract was awarded upon the selection of SCANBUR, Tecniplast exclusive dealer as the commercial partner under the Swedish Act (2007:1091) on public procurement selection among tenders. With the contract Tecniplast/IWT, through Scanbur, are granted rights to deliver equipment for a total value of approximately £20.7 million ($ 29.2 million/ 27 million Euro) over the next three years, one of the largest orders in our history.
The contract will provide Karolinska Institutet with a fully equipped research facility with the latest technology. Karolinska Institutet is one of the world´s leading medical universities and accounts for over 40 per cent of the medical academic research conducted in Sweden. It offers the countries broadest range of education in medicine and health sciences. Karolinska Institutet is home to 6000 students, 2000 Doctoral Students, 5000 employees, 367 Professors, 14 Beginners’ programs, 667 Million Euro Turnover.
