1979 -  •	1974 - Tecniplast, in conjunction with Nalge, develops the first and still unique plastic Metabolic Cage, breaking away from traditional glass and superseding the poor performance of stainless steel.
•	1962 - Tecniplast develops the first plastic housing cage ever built, the 1144B model, on request of the Italian Health Institute and focuses on what is today’s core business: equipment for laboratory animal care.
• 1945 -	1949 - Tecniplast foundation. The company core business is the creation of moulds for plastic materials and moulding of technical products.
