1989 - Tecniplast takes over a small company located in the vicinity, dedicated to the design and manufacture of high-performance washing machines: IWT - International Washing Technologies. The product range evolves over the years to include bottle/cage washers and complementary robotic systems for automated cage and bottle processing. |

| 1982 - Automation is introduced into the production process. Nowadays over 50 gantry and articulated robot systems are at work in Tecniplast moulding and metal work shops, meaning better quality, higher throughput and less repetitive tasks for personnel. |

1980 - Tecniplast launches the first Filter Top cages, first level of protection from contamination at cage level. The wide filtering surface makes it the most widespread in Europe and the most effective ever to reduce gas build-up prior to the introduction of IVC cages. |
