The LASA Annual Conference features a comprehensive scientific programme covering different topics such as better regulation, working outside of ASPA, monitoring animal welfare, and the 3Rs.

In addition to the scientific programme, attendees have the chance to view a range of poster presentations.

Tecniplast, together with Charles River, is pleased to take part into 2017 LASA programme with a workshop on Tuesday, 28 November, from 1:00-2:30 PM, titled “A Paradigm Shift in Today’s Health Monitoring”.

Using soiled-bedding sentinels for detecting rodent infectious agents has significant limitations.

As such, many research model facilities have begun implementing environmental health monitoring in order to complement, and at times even replace, their methods.

This seminar covers health monitoring topics, including:

• Adding airflow detection to your IVC racking with the Tecniplast Interceptor
• Reducing the number of animal used in Research and saving costs and time
• The science behind Exhaust Air Dust (EAD®) testing
• Identifying agents that go undetected with traditional methods

After the presentations, we will open up a roundtable open discussion session and answer to attendees’ questions on the topics.
